When you rent a car for business, some rental companies will give you a full tank and expect you to return the car with filled. Of course, you will be told before renting, so make sure you don’t forget on your way back, else you are going to pay more than the price of a full tank.
2. Pairing your Phone with Bluetooth
Some cars allow you to connect your phone to the cars navigation system and stereo system using Bluetooth. This is super cool, as it allows you to play music from your phone and also receive or make hands free calls.
But when you are setting up and you synchronize all your information’s on the phone unto the car, all your personal information including contacts and phone details will be loaded into the car. This means other people who would rent the car will have access to your details.
3. Ignoring Existing Rental Car Damage
When you realize a fault or damage in the car after renting a car, please let the rental company know about it or return it even if you are late or in a hurry and pick a new car else you are going to be paying for the damages.
4. Taking a Rental Car Over the Border
When you’re renting a car for business, it is good you disclose all the locations you will be taking the car to, to the car rental company and abide by them. Some rental companies have GPS systems that track where ever you send the car. You will incur extra cost when they realized you drove over the border.
5. Not Returning the Car on Time
If you rent a car for 24 hrs. and you return it after let’s say 25hrs, please know that you will be paying for two full days. So, you might want to be punctual and return the car on time.
