According to statistics from the KIA management, the airport saw 2.547 million passengers in 2014 alone. The airport has two terminals, Terminal-1 for domestic and regional travels and Terminal-2 for international travels.

1. Should in case you misplace your luggage, you have no course to worry. All misplaced luggage’s are sent to the lost and found offices which is found in the arrival hall. You just have to report your complaint to them.
2. There are customer service personals available to help, should incase you need any help. The customer service personals can be seen in their neatly branded GACL uniforms and are available to offer any help to passengers.
3. You can arrive with your pet(s) if you wish too. Pets must be accompanied with a heath certificate or vaccination card issued by a vet doctor from the country of origin.
4. It is mandatory for every passenger arriving at the Kotoka International Airport to have a yellow fever vaccine at least ten days prior to arrival. Babies younger than nine months are however exempted from this rule. Also, passengers coming from countries with epidemic outbreaks like (Ebola) will have to be taken through special formalities.
5. Weapons, ammunitions and certain drugs like narcotics are not allowed to arrive into the country. For this, passengers are taken through a thorough search by police officers at the airport.
